Oz Safe Pool & Spa inspections has been developed to provide swimming pool/spa owners with compliant safety barrier certification and advice, inline with government legislation.

Government legislation was put into place in December 2019 to help protect children under the age of five from drownings in swimming pools due to non-compliant safety barriers. It was the responsibility of swimming pool and spa owners to have their pool registered with their local council by the 1st of November 2020 or face financial penalties and/or legal action.

Once the swimming pool is registered with council, the owner is required to appoint a registered building practitioner (holding a registration as a building inspector), to conduct an inspection to ensure that the barrier is compliant with the applicable revision of AS 1926.1, determined by the year the pool was constructed.

With over 20 years of industry experience, Oz Safe Pool & Spa Inspections was developed to provide clients with qualified advice to bring safety barriers up to standard and issue Form 23 swimming pool/spa certificates. We provide our clients with peace of mind, knowing that the person providing advice on their barrier holds the required insurance, qualifications and is a registered practitioner with the VBA.
